Important notes on the use of CREFIX Blue
- Homogenize: Shake or homogenize CREFIX Blue well before each use!
- Temperatures: Processing and ambient temperature ideally between +5°C and +30°C. For the early start of heating (after approx. 14 days) with heated screeds, the screed temperature must not fall below +15°C during installation/hardening; if necessary, set the flow temperature to +15 to +20°C.
- No foreign additives: Do not combine with other additives to ensure the full functionality of CREFIX Blue.
- Cement quality & dosage: Suitable for CEM I or CEM II A cements. Recommended dosage for heated screeds: 350 ml CREFIX Blue per standard screed boiler (250 liters) with 50 kg cement. For unheated screeds (as a working aid) 100 ml is sufficient.
- Application & mixing time: Always add CREFIX Blue to the first mixing water. Observe a mixing time of 90 seconds to ensure even distribution.
- Water reduction: The mixing water is reduced by approx. 2-5 liters per mixture compared to zero screed.
- Drying & ventilation (heated screed): Initial heating according to protocol. Ensure draught-free airing (3-4 times a day for 20-30 minutes). Avoid overdrying the surface with drying equipment/draughts. Carry out CM measurement according to the heating protocol.
