CREFIX orange: Faster & better - your high-performance additive for leveling fills & grit concrete
Time is money - especially on the construction site. Long waiting times due to drying processes can delay the entire construction process. With Crefix orange, the innovative high-performance additive from Crefix Vertriebs GmbH, this is a thing of the past. Optimize your processes for cement-bound levelling fills and grit concrete and benefit from faster readiness for covering and improved processing quality.
What is Crefix orange?
Crefix orange is a specially developed, aqueous polymer solution designed as a universal product. It combines two key functions in one:
- Drying accelerator: Significantly shortens the drying and curing times of cementitious systems.
- Processing aid: Noticeably improves the workability of the mixture and the cohesion of the components.
This makes Crefix orange an indispensable aid for screed layers and construction professionals who value efficiency and the highest quality.
Why Crefix orange makes the difference
Significantly faster readiness for covering & time saving
The biggest advantage of Crefix orange is the massive acceleration of the drying process. This means for you:
- Quicker to walk on and load-bearing: the surface is often stable and ready for loads after just 24 hours.
- Earlier further processing: Depending on the mixture and pouring height (e.g. up to 20 cm with 50 kg cement/mixture), further processing can often be carried out after just 48 hours (see mixing instructions).
- Optimized construction schedules: Shorten the overall construction time of your projects and enable subsequent trades to proceed more quickly.
Optimized processing & stability
Crefix orange not only improves the speed, but also the quality and handling of the fill:
- Better workability: The mixture is easier to spread, compact and remove.
- Improved material bonding: The cohesion between cement and aggregate (polystyrene or chippings) is significantly increased, resulting in a more homogeneous and stable fill.
- Pumpable: Suitable for pumping with standard screed pumps, which makes installation easier.
Universal applicability & simplicity
Thanks to its universal formulation, Crefix orange covers a wide range of applications and simplifies your work:
- An additive for both: Suitable for polystyrene leveling fills and grit concrete / single grain mortar (e.g. for drainage).
- Simplified logistics: Only one product for both types of bulk material reduces warehousing and ordering costs.

Frequently asked questions (FAQ) about Crefix orange
Crefix orange is a high-performance liquid additive. It accelerates the drying of cement-bound leveling fills (polystyrene or chippings) and at the same time improves their processing properties and internal cohesion.
Yes, Crefix orange can be used universally for both common fill types. Please note the different mixing instructions in the technical data sheet.
The exact mixing ratio depends on the type of fill (polystyrene/chippings), the amount of cement used, the amount of water and the desired fill height. You will find precise details and guide dosages in our technical data sheet (see Downloads). Compliance is crucial for performance.
We recommend CEM I or CEM II cements approved by Crefix. For polystyrene leveling fills, a cement of strength class 42.5 R is recommended to ensure full functionality and rapid drying. The performance may be impaired with lower cement quantities or other cement types.
No, Crefix orange must not be combined with other additives or accelerators, as this may impair or cancel out the effect. It acts as a universal product.
The fill can often be walked on after approx. 24 hours. Readiness for covering (depending on CM value, layer thickness, climate, etc.) is achieved significantly faster than with conventional mixtures - often after just 48 hours for fill heights of up to approx. 15-20 cm (see data sheet for details).
The drying time depends largely on the layer thickness, the amount and type of cement, the water/cement ratio, the ambient and substrate temperature and the relative humidity. Good, draught-free ventilation (shock ventilation, max. 70% relative humidity) is essential.
The use of construction drying equipment is not recommended before the surface is basically ready for covering. Too rapid, uncontrolled drying on the surface can lead to shrinkage cracks or uneven strength development. Primarily ensure standardized climatic conditions and sufficient ventilation.
The readiness for covering should be determined by means of a CM measurement (calcium carbide method) in accordance with the recognized rules of technology (e.g. BEB data sheet). For polystyrene fills, a value of max. 9% CM moisture is considered sufficient for the installation of insulation.
Crefix orange can be stored in sealed, undamaged original containers for 12 months from the production date. Store it frost-free and protect it from direct sunlight.
Yes, Crefix orange must be well homogenized (shaken up) before use. We recommend wearing protective gloves and safety goggles. Observe the general regulations on occupational hygiene.
