CREFIX Violet: Accelerated screed power for silos & construction sites
What is CREFIX Violet?
CREFIX Violet is a new, water-based universal product on a polymer basis, developed for earth-moist cement screeds. It combines the functions of a high-performance Drying acceleratoran effective Heating screed additive and a high-quality Screed coating in an innovative formulation. CREFIX Violet is your all-rounder for accelerated and high-quality screed work:- Effective drying accelerator: Enables heated screeds to be ready for covering much earlier (e.g. after 7-10 days), which drastically shortens construction times and speeds up subsequent work.
- Optimized heating screed additive: Improves the compactability of the screed, the sheathing of the heating pipes and thus the heat transfer for more efficient heating systems.
- High-quality screed coating: Increases the flexural and adhesive tensile strengths (>1.5 N/mm²), enables earlier coatability and reduces screed thicknesses in floating constructions.
- Excellent workability: Ensures simplified stripping and smoothing of the screed with a working time of at least 45 minutes, without additional air intake.
CREFIX Violet: The all-rounder for superior screed performance
Turbo drying meets maximum construction site efficiency
With CREFIX Violet, you can set new standards in terms of speed and cost-effectiveness for your screed projects:
- Drastically reduced drying times: Achieve readiness for covering heated screeds significantly earlier - after just 7-10, 14-18 or 21-28 days, depending on dosage and conditions. This means less waiting time and faster completion.
- Early loadability & coatability: The screed can be loaded more quickly and released for subsequent work such as the application of coatings, which optimizes the entire construction process.
- Optimum heat transfer for heating screeds: As a heating screed additive, CREFIX Violet improves the compaction and sheathing of heating pipes, resulting in more efficient heat transfer and potential energy savings.
More strength, perfect workmanship, lasting quality
CREFIX Violet is not only fast, but also enhances the intrinsic qualities of your screed and facilitates its installation:
- Increased flexural and adhesive tensile strength: The special tempering formula increases the mechanical load-bearing capacity of the screed. Achieve adhesive tensile strengths of over 1.5 N/mm² for all types of coatings.
- Possibility of reducing the screed thickness: The increased strength of floating screeds means that screed thicknesses can potentially be reduced, which saves material and costs.
- Excellent workability without additional air: Benefit from a working time of at least 45 minutes with simplified stripping and smoothing. Unlike many other products, CREFIX Violet does not introduce any additional air into the screed.
- Low-shrinkage and low-stress hardening: Minimizes the risk of cupping and deformation of the screed during hardening.
A product for all occasions - safe and reliable
Its universal applicability and harmless composition make CREFIX Violet a reliable partner on any construction site:
- Universal for earth-moist cement screeds: Ideal as a drying accelerator, heating screed additive and screed topping for a wide range of applications, also perfect for silo screed.
- Building biologically safe: CREFIX Violet is free from formaldehyde, solvents or other volatile, questionable compounds and is therefore safe for installers and future users.
- Optimized water/cement ratio: Contributes to a lower water/cement ratio, which further improves the density and strength of the screed.

Important notes on the use of CREFIX Violet
- Homogenize: Shake/homogenize CREFIX Violet well before use or at least daily!
- Temperatures: Ambient and processing temperature between +5°C and +30°C. If heating starts early, do not allow the screed temperature to fall below +15°C (if necessary, set the flow temperature to +18-20°C).
- No foreign additives: Do not combine with other additives.
- Concrete formulation/application (dosage):
- Recommended: 2 bags of cement (50 kg) per 200 liters of screed mixture.
- As heating screed additive (improvement of compactability/pipe coating): min. 0.25 kg Crefix per mixture.
- For tempering (increased strength): 0.5 kg Crefix per mixture (1.5% on cement).
- Gradations of readiness for covering (see table in the data sheet, e.g. 7-10 days with 500 ml to 62.5 kg cement).
- Mixing & processing: Dose Crefix onto the moist sand/cement mixture with the mixing water (premix in the bucket). The amount of mixing water required is reduced by 3-6 liters. Mix for at least 90 seconds before adjusting the consistency, total mixing time 2 min.
- Cement quality & aggregate: CEM I or CEM II A (or grades approved by Crefix). Aggregate according to EN 13139 (grading curve A/B 0-8mm for screed concrete, 0-4mm for screed mortar).
- Early start of heating (protocol!): Initial heating according to protocol. Ventilate without draughts (3-4 times a day for 20-30 minutes). Avoid overdrying the surface. CM measurement after heating up.
- Conformity to standards & CM measurement: CM measurement according to guidelines (BEB data sheet 8.1). Average sample 50g over the entire cross-section. No sieving/separation of aggregate.

Frequently asked questions (FAQ) about Crefix Violet
CREFIX Violet is a universal product for earth-moist cement screeds. It is used as a drying accelerator (especially for heated screeds for earlier readiness for covering), as a heated screed additive (to improve compactability and heat transfer) and as a screed coating (to increase flexural and adhesive tensile strength and for early coatability).
Depending on the dosage and the specific construction site conditions, the readiness for covering of heated screeds with CREFIX Violet can be significantly shortened. Possible time frames are e.g. 7-10 days, 14-18 days or 21-28 days. Detailed information can be found in the technical data sheet and the dosage table.
Yes, as a heating screed additive it improves the compactability of the screed and the sheathing of the heating pipes. This leads to optimized heat transfer and can increase the efficiency of the heating system.
CREFIX Violet increases the flexural and adhesive tensile strength of the screed (adhesive tensile strength >1.5 N/mm² depending on the dosage). This enables an earlier load-bearing capacity and coatability of the screed and may allow a reduction of the screed thickness in floating constructions.
No, on the contrary. CREFIX Violet offers excellent workability with simplified stripping and smoothing of the screed. The working time is at least 45 minutes and, unlike many other additives, it does not introduce any additional air into the screed.
Yes, CREFIX Violet is very well suited for use with silo screed, as it combines the diverse requirements for acceleration, tempering and processing in one product.
The dosage depends on the desired application. To improve the compactability of heated screeds, for example, at least 0.25 kg/mixture is recommended, to achieve increased strength 0.5 kg/mixture (1.5% on cement). There are precise dosage recommendations in the technical data sheet for specific readiness for covering times. Generally, 2 bags of cement (50 kg) per 200 liters of screed mix are recommended.
Yes, CREFIX Violet is harmless to building biology. It contains no formaldehyde, solvents or other volatile, questionable compounds.
CREFIX Violet is dosed onto the moist, premixed sand-cement mixture together with the mixing water (premix in the bucket). The mixing time before the final consistency setting should be 90 seconds, the total mixing time after adding all components 2 minutes.
Initial heating must always be carried out according to the protocol. Depending on the dosage and the building climate conditions, heating and ventilation can be started in order to achieve readiness for covering. A CM measurement is mandatory after heating has been completed.
